Medical Checkups
Entry Medical Examination: At the beginning of spa treatment, our clients are required to see the doctor. They are subjected to a thorough examination, including blood pressure measurement, inspection of the locomotive system, and if necessary, EKG examination as well. The clients are then prescribed an ideal treatment based on the results of the overall xamination.
Control Checkup: You can also see the doctor during your stay (eventually if any health problems come up). During this checkup the doctor examines whether the client is adherent to the prescribed treatment and eventually suggests some alternative procedures.
Hydrotherapy
Carbonic Bath:The carbonic baths are prepared from natural mineral water. The water temperature is around 33–34 °C, the bath is based on hypothermia. The feeling of cold recedes after a few moments while CO² bubbles produce a coherent film on your skin. Carbon dioxide is absorbed by the skin and causes a chemical reaction which promotes the dilation of of surface and later also deep veins. This supports enhanced blood circulation, reduces blood pressure and increases diuresis. Mineral baths also help patients suffering from the diseases of locomotive system or from gynecologic or urologic health problems. 20 min
Peat Bath:Rich deposits of sulphur–ferric peat which is an important ingredient of our baths are to be found in the area of Františkovy Lázně. The mineral water is enriched with this peat. The bath increases the temperature of your body, improves mobility and the client feels relaxed and relieved. The peat bath produces an analgesic, germicidal and virucidal effect. 20 min
Sparkling Bath:The ideal temperature of sparkling bath is between 34–36 °C. This temperature provides physical and mental relief and helps to increase diuresis. The air is pumped into the water at a pressure of 0,15 Mpa, and produces the development of bubbles which are massaging the skin. This type of bath is recommended for patients suffering from sleep disorders, neurological illnesses or the disorders of locomotive system, including painful spinal injuries. Sparkling bath decreases muscle tone and mental stress but it is also helpful in healing scarves or reducing climacteric problems. 20 min.
Whirlpool Bath: It is a whole–body bath whose temperature varies between 36–38 °C. The circulation of water and air within the bath creates a massaging effect which improves the blood circulation in limbs, enhances the metabolic function and stimulates dermal cells. Whirlpool bath is effective in reducing lymphatic complications, rheumatoid arthritis or even post–traumatic symptoms. It has also a positive impact on patients suffering from muscular atrophy, peripheral paralysis or diabetes. 20 min.
Subaquatic Massage: Subaquatic massage is a whole–body massage performed in the water at a temperature varying between 35 and 37 °C. Using a stream of water the therapist massager lower and upper limbs and the back. This procedure combines the effects of warm bath and massage. The muscles become relaxed and refreshed and the client enjoys the feeling of pleasant fatigue. Subaquatic massage is suitable for reducing locomotive system disorders, i.e. muscular pain, osteoarthritis, post–traumatic conditions of muscles and joints, etc.20 min.
Aromatic Ingredient Bath: t is a whole–body sparkling bath performed at a temperature of 36–38 °C. The bath is enriched with an aromatic oil which helps to decrease the muscle tone and stimulate your body's healing system. 20 min
Carboxytherapies
Gas Injections: Gas injection method is a type of reflex therapy. We use a 100% medicinal CO˛ which is injected (at a maximum quantity of 200 ml per one session) under the skin (Insufflation). The immediate effect may be unpleasant or even painful but in a few minutes it induces a nice, warm feeling. The area of skin puncture is reddish for a while. The presence of CO² causes the little vessels to expand, which relieves muscles and reduces pain. A repeated application improves the nutrition of tissue cells.
Dry Carbonic Bath (gaseous bags): This procedure is carried out in a sitting position. The lower limbs and the lower part of the client's body are sealed in a plastic bag filled with medicinal 100% carbon dioxide. The CO² penetrates the skin very rapidly (even through your clothes). Cutaneous vessels are first to enlarge, then the dilatation of deep vessels follows. This effect results in lowering of blood pressure, improvement of the venous and lymphatic of lower limbs and the reduction of inflammatory responses. The increased level of CO² in the blood has a positive impact on kidney function. The influence of dry carbonic bath is comparable with that of mineral bath, therefore, this procedure is suitable also for patients suffering from skin disorders who have to avoid water. 15 min.
Massages
Acupressure Massage: Acupressure massage is based on the traditional Chinese medicine, therefore, besides its influence on muscular tissue, it also controls the flow of energy in the entire body. Gentle strokes applied to specific meridian points in the skin release the blockages and restore the flow of energy throughout your body. Acupressure massage helps to reduce the disorders of locomotive system and remove pain–gently and without the use of needles. 25 min.
Aromatic Massage: Aromatherapy is one of the oldest treatments in the world. Odours affect your mood, stir up your emotions, make you release and relax. They help you to reduce the problems of sleeplessness, depression but also relieve muscular pain and many other problems. Aromatic oils–often referred to as sensual science–are an essential part of this type of massage. The pleasant combination of aroma and massage lead you into the state of deep relaxation and allows you to recover your strength and relieve stress and tension. It also stimulates the activation of immune system, warms up your tissues and helps to flush out waste products and toxins. Partial massage – 25 min
Full-body Massage – 50 min
Foot Reflex Massage
Foot Ree flex Massage: combines the techniques of acupressure, reflex therapy and manual therapy of muscles and joints. This specific method has a positive influence on the function of internal organs and the vegetative nervous system. The soles of the feet are "connected" with the internal organs, glands and other parts of your body (spine, joints and muscles). After the massage your feet and legs are relaxed and walking feels easier. A proper stimulation of particular areas of your feet affects your overall health, brings relief to your body and helps yout to escape from everyday stress.
40 min
Classical Massage
Classical massage uses a wide range of mechanical stimuli. It is a part of therapy which seeks to eliminate the stress and pain of tired, rigid muscles. Other positive effects include stimulation of metabolic activity, tissue nutrition and blood circulation. We should not omit the relaxation function of classical massage evoking a feeling of well-being and contentement. Heating your body before the massage is recommended to produce a better result.
Partial Massage – 20 min
Full-body Massage – 50 min
Lymphatic Drainage: Some people have illnesses or injuries which lead to the disorders of the lymphatic or blood system. This malfunction may later result in the development of metabolic diseases or even cause lymphedema. Lymphatic massage basically works as a pump — lymphatic vessels relax and dilate, thus allowing the improvement of the lymph flow. Lymphatic drainage is a painless manual technique performed by a well-trained therapist. It aims at redirecting the lymph from the affected areas onto new pathways using specific strokes and gentle pressure. The maximum effect is achieved by the combination with machine based lymphatic drainage.
Face – 20 min Limbs – 25 min
Machine-Based Lymphatic Drainage – Pneuven: It is actually a pneumatic massage of lower limbs. The massaging device includes an abdominal belt and drainage belts for lower limbs. The belts contain a number of chambers which gradually inflate with air — produce a discontinuous massage, thus moving the surpluss liquid from the periphery to the central part of the body.
25 min
Hand-Massaging Balls: It is a gentle massaging technique performed with small balls. This massage has a very pleasant effect and produces the same results as lymphatic massage.
Face – 15 min
Back – 20 min
Tension Headache Massage: Most headache types are associated with cervical vertebra disorders, some of them are characterized as migraine headaches. A properly performed massage can help to reduce these problems, producing a highly relaxing and analgesic effect. Specific points on your face, head, neck and shoulders are massaged using gentle and slow strokes. 20 min
Reflex Massage
Reflex masage delivers treatment to hyperalgic skin zones which are usually associated with the diseases of internal organs or the dysfunction of deep muscles. The healing effect is carried out through nervous pathways using specific touch techniques which are adapted to the actual client’s health state. We distinguish the following three types of massage—nuchal massage, pectoral massage and pelvic massage. Reflex massage is effective in healing chronic disorders of internal organs, functional, degenerative and chronic spinal and arthral diseases. Neck, nape, back – 20 min
Heat Therapy
Peat Body Wrap
he most significant beds of sulphur-ferric peat which we use for wraps are found in the area of Františkovy Lázně. Peat produces a slightly acid reaction and it is applied in pulverized form mixed with water and heated at a temperature of 42–43 °C. The minerals present in the peat penetrate our skin. The resulting heat increases blood circulation in the area concerned and supports the local metabolic processes which accelerate the absorption of inflammatory infiltrations and release both striated and smooth muscles.
20 min – 340 CZK
Paraffin Body Wrap
Paraffin wraps consist of paraffin wax mixed with paraffin oil and their temperature varies between 54 and 56 °C. The mixture seems to be hot but as the heat penetrates the tissues equally, the increased temperature is tolerated well by the patient. The client repeatedly dips his or her hands into the hot bath to obtain a coherent film of paraffin. The heating effect reduces the pain of small hand joints, releases muscular tension and improves tissue nutrition.
15 min – 150 CZK
Beeswax Wrap
A therapy to warm up and give relief to your body.
The application of beeswax wrap intensifies the effect of preceding as well as subsequent treatments. By increasing the dispersion of heat, it reduces muscular and articular pain, rheumatic diseases, headaches and tension headaches, and stimulates the regulation of heat throughout your body. Deep heating enables you to feel the sensation of your body and results in the enhanced generation of body heat. Thorough warming of your body improves your functional health.
Revitalizing experience for your skin.
Besides a great number of valuable substances, the beeswax also contains cells supporting the development of vitamin A which is very effective in preventing the dessication of skin. As a result, the skin, following the application of beeswax, becomes gentle and smooth.
This valuable wrap consists of purely natural beeswax obtained straight from the honeycomb. The softest kind of silk is used as a base material.
The combination of pleasant aroma and colour of beeswax makes a therapy designed for real aesthetes.

Other procedures
Electrotherapy
Electrotherapy uses various forms of electric power; our hotel offers traditional electrotherapeutic methods, such as diadynamic therapy, interferential current (IFC) therapy, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), Träbert's current and Vacotron. The use of a concrete electrotherapeutic method depends on the requested result – improvement of the tissue’s circulation, release or strengthening of skeletal or soft-tissue structure, absorption of swellings or reduction of inflammatory symptoms.
10 min – 140 CZK
Inhalation
Inhalation is the introduction of mineral water which improves the function of respiratory mucosa, has anti-inflammatory effects, dissolves mucus and facilitates cough and suctioning. In case of serious respiratory problems medicaments can be added to the water. Patients with bronchial catarrh can inhalate water mixed with natural salts or herbal extracts.
10 min – 100 CZK
Laser
Laser is a special device that emits light (electromagnetic radiation) through a process called stimulated emission. It has numerous positive effects–analgesic, anti–inflammatory, biostimulating, hyperaemic (increase of blood flow) and antiedematic. At the area being exposed to radiation the ray enhances the proliferation of cells. It accelerates the regeneration of damaged tissues. Laser also helps to fight germs and viruses. Due to a wide range of effects, this treatment is recognized as helpful for a number of health conditions, e.g. for cutaneous, neurological or muscular disorders.
1 min á 30 CZK
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Ultrasound converts electrical energy into mechanical and thermal power, and its application causes a micro–massage of the tissue. The frequency of between 0,75 and 4 MHz allows for treatment of deep and surface structures, resulting in the improved blood circulation, better function of tissue throphic, release of muscular tension, reduction of scarves and swellings. Moreover it has an analgesic and anti–iflammatory effect on the diseases of locomotives system.
